ARIZONA – BLM Developing Travel Management Plan EA For Arizona Strip FO

Dear BRC Action Alert Subscriber,

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Arizona Strip Field Office (ASFO) is developing an Environmental Assessment (EA) for a Travel Management Plan (TMP) to analyze motorized/mechanized vehicle use and non-motorized use on designated routes in the Colorado City, Littlefield and St. George Basin route designation sub-regions.

Public participation is crucial for the success of a comprehensive travel network in order for the BLM to obtain the most accurate and current information on specific routes. Public input also provides BLM with various alternatives for access and use of areas and routes for specific purposes, as well as to obtain current information about resources that need to be protected from access-related impacts. The purpose of the TMP EA scoping meetings and public comment process is to enable all interested parties to have an opportunity to understand the route designation decisions about to be made, and to have an opportunity to participate in the process.
