Lucas Hand & Lone Kid Racing Head To The Silver State 300

| April 28, 2011

This Saturday the Lone Kid Racing team is doing something a little different, they are racing a new class to them  in the desert. The team is taking on the UTV class for the first time with Lucas Hand at the wheel of the new John Deere Gator XUV 825i.  The new UTV was dropped off just a few days before Christmas and have been collecting parts and building the Gator to be ready for the BITD Bilek Silver State 300. We have been lucky enough to draw number 2 off the line of a class of 15 entries. The goal is to finish this race for it being the first time out with the Gator and then work our way up from there.  The team is excited for this adventure. The course is a point to point race running through some of the most beautiful parts of Nevada, climbing up to about 7000ft and back down to sea level, starting in Alamo NV running through Caliente, Panaca, Pioche and back to Alamo again. The race is just over 300 miles and very fast and technical, leaving at sunrise and it will put our FOX shoxs and GBC motorsports tires to the test, while our Rigid Industries “E” series light bars leading our way.

“Crew chief Greg Randell has said the Gator XUV is a solid platform and it is ready to do battle with the desert and looking forward to a finish”. We look forward to seeing everyone at Tech come check out the new Gator XUV. We would not be here if it was not for our sponsors thank you.
