Friar Engineering Blue Water Desert Challenge Results

| October 20, 2011

On October 14th – 16th Friar Engineering Racing competed at the Best in the Desert Bluewater Desert Challenge in Parker Arizona. The race format was a two day event with 3 laps contested each day on an approximant 25mile loop.  The finish positions for each day are combined for the final result. On Saturday the car was driven by Scott Martinez with co-driver Matt Krimple. Everything went well with a 5thplace finish for the day. On day two the car was piloted by Matt Krimple and co-driver Dustin Brodwolf. Matt and Dustin came through on short notice this being the first race for Matt as the driver of the car and the two of them as a team. As in the first day the car ran flawlessly with no problems at all giving Matt and Dustin a 3rd place finish. The combined result for the two day event was a 3rd place over all for the Friar Engineering Racing John Deere XUV825i. The only hiccup on the weekend was a slight miss calculation on fuel that didn’t leave the race car enough gas to get from the finish line to the podium. Friar Engineering is very pleased with the progress of this year’s new race program with the John Deere Gator and looks forward to even greater success.
