BLM Announces Temporary Road Closure in Mono County, CA
July 14, 2009 – BLM has published a notice of temporary closure for a segment of a designated road in Mono County, CA to all motorized use and operation, which includes OHVs. The stated purpose of this closure, which is implemented by the Bishop Field Office in coordination with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, is to prevent the spread of the invasive Quagga Mussel into Crowley Lake. The closure is effective immediately and will remain in effect until October 31, 2009. Closure signs will be posted at the entrance point of the closure.
