Bodyguard Armoring has developed an UP ARMOR KIT for the Polaris Ranger that will protect 2-3 men from 7.62x51NATO, 5.56NATO, and 7x62x39 AK rounds (ball) enabling them to be used by the Military, Police SWAT, Homeland Security, and security for high threat areas like oil pipelines and Nuclear power plants.
This kit will fit Polaris Rangers 2008 and older and may be installed in about an hour. Kits will soon be available for the newly redesigned 2009 Polaris RANGER models.
The armor, which weighs about 500 pounds (the Polaris Ranger 6×6 has a 1750 Lb carrying capacity).
The roof will have cooling fans and a third door that will accept an optional solar battery charger. Other options will include armor bedside panels, a +25HP chip for more power, and 2” wheel spacers.
