Imperial Sand Dunes Permits Available Through the ASA
The Special Recreation Permit fee for the 2009-2010 dune season at the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area (ISDRA) will remain at the same level as the cost for the 2008-2009 dune season.
The permit fee will remain at $90 for season permits purchased away from the ISDRA and $120 for season permit purchased at the ISDRA. Weekly permit fee will be $25 for permits purchased away from the ISDRA and $40 if purchased at the ISDRA.
You can also purchase your season permit from the ASA by going to their web site at
http://www.americansandassociation.org or by calling 888-540-SAND.
The ASA receives 10% of the purchase price so this is a good way to help the ASA and get your dunes permit at the same time.
If you are going to the Sand Sports Super Show in Costa Mesa, CA you can purchase your season permit at the ASA booth and save on the postage and insurance costs.
This is a great way to save a few bucks and help an organization that is fighting for continued OHV access at the Imperial Sand Dunes (aka Glamis).
More information about ISDRA permits can be found at: www.imperialsanddunes.net.
ISDRA is managed by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM). More information about the dunes can be found on their website at: http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/fo/elcentro/recreation/ohvs/isdra.html.
