Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Chris Borich gave Suzuki its first-ever GNCC ATV Championship this past
weekend when the young rider clinched his own first-ever GNCC ATV Championship at the Yadkin Valley
Stomp in Yadkinville, North Carolina. With two rounds remaining in the series, Borich clinched the title by
riding an impressive race on his Rockstar Makita Suzuki QuadRacer R450 in spite of the wet and slippery
red clay track conditions. Borich has led the points for most of the 2009 season and this win is his sixth
consecutive victory this year as well as his eighth total win this year. Additionally, Suzuki’s winning this
championship marks the first time in nine years that a new manufacturer has won this particular title.

Chris Borich:
“I was feeling pretty pumped. It was a really up-and-down race. I started out in about seventh or eighth,
and moved up to first in the third lap and just kind of checked out from there on the Rockstar Makita
Suzuki QuadRacer R450. Yadkinville is a really tight track and passing is limited, so I just started picking
people off one by one. The track was really muddy, but it was fun to get back out in the woods. It feels
really good to take my first championship, but it still hasn’t quite sunk in yet. Even though I have the
championship wrapped up, I still plan on going out there and winning the last two rounds. It would be
really awesome to end the season with 10 wins. I have to thank the Rockstar Makita Suzuki team and
everyone who’s been involved with my program this year.”

Pat Alexander, Suzuki Sports Promotions Manager:
“Winning this first GNCC ATV Championship is truly a great achievement, particularly since the Rockstar
Makita Suzuki team won it after only participating in the series for such a short period of time.
Congratulations to Chris and the whole team from all the folks at Suzuki.”

Rod Lopusnak, Suzuki National Sales Manager:
“We at Suzuki are so excited about winning this title. Hats off to Chris Borich and the whole Rockstar
Makita Suzuki team for putting in such an amazing effort. This first GNCC ATV championship is a
testament to the professionalism, talent and work ethic of the whole team and also to the superiority of
the QuadRacer R450. We are confident that this is the first in a long line of titles to come.”
Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing will race next at ITP Power Line Park in St. Clairsville, Ohio, the
weekend of, October 3-4, 2009.
