Nobody can talk enough about the big-bore performance of the Prowler XTZ. In its introductory year, the Prowler XTZ went out and won the most grueling desert race in history; the Baja 1000.

Combining the industries largest engine with sport-inspired suspension geometry the performance-minded Prowler XTZ provides the ultimate untouchable recreation machine. The powerhouse 950 V-Twin H2 has a 950cc, 4-stroke monster performance mill. The Duramatic automatic transmission has dynamic engine braking with Low, High, Neutral and Reverse.

The stance and suspension were race-bred and performance calibrated with additional ride-in.

What is ride-in? The Prowler XTZ will squat roughly 2 inches (depending on driver/passenger sizes) while providing 10″ of ground clearance and 10″ of suspension travel. The lower ride height and center of gravity inspire riding confidence in aggressive cornering and high speed
handling. The XTZ boasts high performance suspension geometry with the best gas-charged monotube shocks on the market.

A front locking 4WD differential with an all-in-one 2WD/4WD/Diff Lock rocker switch button for quick engagement shifting and rear mounted swaybar for improved trail driving. Setting the XTZ apart, three point seat belts, box rails, rear view mirror, hood scoop and Pro Grip steering wheel are all standard equipment as well as 14″ aluminum rims.

To handle the 1000 H2’s enormous power output, Arctic Cat has engineered a rear differential to deliver maximum power to the tires with minimum driveline wear. Arctic Cat integrated what it refers to as a “spike load dampener”  into the rear differential. Essentially what that does is limit the amount of torque put on the rear axle by allowing the differential to slip at peak torque output rather than disintegrating.
