Charlene Picks up a 2010 Kawasaki Teryx
I am pretty excited! I went to Kawasaki on Thursday and picked up a 2010 Kawasaki Teryx. Whooooo Hooooooo!! How cool is that!
We have lots of plans to take the Kawasaki Teryx out and trail ride with it, push snow around with it, crawl it through some of the roughest rock sections out there, and dune it through the sand. Who knows, I may even grab some aftermarket parts and some wrenches and try and install them. Of course I can do it…and if I can do it, so can you!
Keep tuned for all of our adventures…. But the first adventure starts with picking up the vehicle at Kawasaki Motor Corp in Irvine, CA.
It was pretty uneventful as far as picking up the unit. No flat tires on the trailer, no issues with tying it down…
Russ Brenan from Kawasaki met me at the facility driving the Green Machine. We loaded her up and then I was fortunate enough to get a quick tour of the facility. The Irvine facility is where all the business happens, not a vehicle distribution center. There is a division for sales, marketing, graphic design, legal, dealer relations, customer service, and downstairs there is the race shop and the media vehicle prep area.
The vehicle prep area was jumping with the new units. On a vehicle like the one that I picked up, they take it out of the crate, put it together and then run it for the recommended 5 hour break in period before we receive it.
The most amazing to me was the three tier racks of vehicles that are loaded with 2009 and 2010 vehicles. All of these vehicles are available to go to shows and demo events. (The pictures are a little dark, but I hope you can see the height that these vehicles sit!)
When we went into the race shop we ran into Reid Nordin who runs the entire Kawasaki Team Green Racing program. He is a busy guy and I was lucky enough to talk to him for a few minutes about some upcoming races that we will be talking about more here on UTVWeekly.com.
In the meantime, I have started making a wish list for the Teryx, and have loaded it up in my trailer for its first adventure…Glamis, CA.
SOOOOO JEALOUS!!!! Your gonna love that thing Charlene!!! Way to go Kawasaki!!
SWEET ……. NOW GO GET SOME DIRT ON THAT BAD BOY
