Marshall University OHV Recreation Management Course Spring Semester

Scholarship Applications due on December 15, 2009

The spring semester OHV Recreation Management course is PLS 451/551 Planning and Design of OHV Trails. The information in the course can be invaluable for both agency personnel as well as the enthusiasts. The planning of the trail system is a critical component for providing the quality trails that riders want to ride.

There are 4 separate courses that make up the OHV Recreation Management track. Two of the courses have been introduced and the remaining two courses are currently under development. The content of the courses were developed as a cooperative effort between Marshall University and the National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC) staff.

This semester’s scholarship is being offered by the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) and the Specialty Vehicle Institute of America (SVIA). These organizations are once again showing their commitment to creating and keeping sustainable OHV trail systems. The scholarship is being administered by the NOHVCC. The completed applications are due on December 15, 2009.
