TORC Drivers MacCachren and Gordon Set to Tackle the Baja 1000 This Weekend

Corona, CA (November 18, 2009)-TORC Series 2009 Class Champion Rob MacCachren and fellow PRO 2WD driver and NASCAR great, Robby Gordon, will step out of their short-course trucks this weekend and into a different type of dirt racing- the 42nd Tecate SCORE Baja 1000. Both drivers will have to overcome the rugged terrain and what is said to be the toughest course in the history of this legendary race.

The elite Trophy Truck class will be the last to leave the start line at approximately 10:30am on Saturday morning from Ensenada-Baja California, Mexico. Rob MacCachren will start 28th and Robby Gordon will start 8th. Gordon sits 1st in the points, with MacCachren in 17th, with this race being the final on the 2009 circuit, Gordon has the championship set within his sights.
