If you have not seen some of Chris Burkes creations at Marshall Motor Art in West Eden Utah you pretty much need to see them to believe.  Chris runs a complete fabrication shop and builds anything you can dream up.

brutus1Brutus
Brutus started life as a stock Polaris Ranger and was transformed into a five passenger monster.  It will transport five comfortably with a shorter wheel base than a Ranger Crew.  The bed of the standard ranger is removed and a completely custom rear seating section is attached along with a new cage and front bumper integrated with the cage.  While the brutus in these photos shows super large 35″ tires and extended A-Arms Chris does make a version of Brutus that sits on stock suspension and tires and makes for great family hauler.

Animal
animalThe Animal starts life as a standard Polaris RZR.  The drive train and electrical along with fuel tank and steering are used on an all tube chassis with custom suspension and axels to create a full on two seat rock crawler.  I rode with Chris in Moab last November and I can tell you first hand that the Animal is a very capable rock crawler.    A single seat version of the Animal is under development.

The Rock Racer
Created for last years King of the Hammers the Rock Racer started life as a Polaris 850 ATV.  Power steering and completely custom chassis and suspension give the Rock Racer wicked good looks and capability.

rockracerChris built our Safari cage for the Borneo Expedition with an extended roof rack, rear 2″ receiver for our rear winch, spare tire mount, and front bumper integrated with the front Warn winch mount bumper for strength and something we can use to maneuver the rig by hand.   The roof rack has weld nuts mounted in the rack supports which will let us bolt items likes shovels and axes directly to the outside of the rack.
We are confident that the cage which is integrated from front to rear adds significant strength to the entire rig, something we will be glad to have when we’re winching ourselves out of a deep mud pit in the jungle.
