Bully Dog Cracks the 2009 Dodge Cummins 6.7L RSA
First to Market again! Bully Dog Technologies releases the only downloader available on the market, their Triple Dog GT downloader, for the ‘09 Dodge Cummins 2500-4500.
In February of 2009, Dodge began replacing the Electronic Control Modules (ECMs) in their 6.7L diesels with a new ECM that had a special type of encryption. The encryption, known as RSA, is an encryption used by many different industries, such as financial institutions, that require a high level of security. This new ECM instantly brought the tuner market to its knees, as no one in the aftermarket could download to this ECM to provide increased power and tuning. For the past 8 months Bully Dog assigned their best technicians to figure out a way into the ECU and then develop tuning for the Cummins. They found their way through the RSA encryption, a feat that was deemed impossible by the CIA.
Now you ’09 Dodge owners can have the power, tuning and added economy that you have been demanding. The GT is actually four products all rolled into one sleek, new design. It serves as: a downloader that adds power, a tuner allowing for multiple drive train settings to be tuned and adjusted, a gauge that is fully customizable to each user’s preferences and monitors four gauge functions at one time, and lastly it is a Driving Coach. This revolutionary Driving Coach software monitors wasted vehicle energy and then informs the driver how to change their driving habits to increase fuel economy.
