TRAXXAS Off-Road Championship Set for Record Spectator Attendance as Teams Prepare for Crandon Series Debut

TRAXXAS TORC Truck Series Presented By AMSOILIndianapolis, IN–The United States Auto Club (USAC Racing), in conjunction with its partners in the TRAXXAS Off-Road Championship, is proud to announce enhancements to the 2010 racing calendar of events. The series is expected to offer significant announcements in the coming weeks, including an innovative television programming package.

The schedule will change the original series opener at USA Raceway in Tucson to Crandon International Off-Road Raceway. The schedule enhancements are part of a sweeping change in direction driven by a recent sanctioning transition of the series.

The TRAXXAS Off-Road Championship, presented by AMSOIL, will debut its full PRO and Sportsman divisions this season at Off-Road’s premier facility, the ‘Big House’ in Crandon, Wisconsin as part of the annual Brush Run festivities June 18th–20th.

Track officials expect a spring record crowd of nearly 20,000 fans at the TRAXXAS Championship opener, and the launching point for the Monster Triple Crown series within the Traxxas Off-Road 2010 Schedule.

The series will offer a twelve race schedule in 2010, spanning over six race weekends. Planning for 2011 has already been initiated and additional venues are in discussions to showcase the sport of Off-Road to larger spectator audiences.

“In the last three weeks we have accomplished a tremendous amount of building for a sustainable TRAXXAS Off-Road Championship,” stated Kevin Miller, CEO of USAC Racing. “We are very excited to have the nation’s premier venues for short course Off-Road racing on our schedule. The new series features a group of dedicated sponsors, and the best professional drivers in short course racing dedicated to competing for the Championship in 2010.”

The TRAXXAS Off-Road Championship, presented by AMSOIL is the world’s premier short course Off-Road series. With over 40,000 diehard fans cheering the fastest Off-Road action, TRAXXAS drivers push the limits with 900 horsepower, fender pounding machines on challenging natural terrain racetracks.
