We have a reader from New Zealand that I finally talked into sending us some pictures and videos to post for all to share.

UTVs are gaining popularity worldwide now and here in New Zealand we are slowly taking notice. ATVs still rule but as Side X Sides evolve, Kiwis are making the move to a more specialized vehicle. There is not too much recreational driving as most would be used as work vehicles on the farm. There are some very nice places to try out your UTV throughout New Zealand.

Mud and hard packed tracks is what you will find, with some sand and rocks if you know where to look. We have some beautiful sand dunes on our coast but most of these are out of bounds for all vehicles. Most recreational areas are 4WD parks that you pay to go in. You will find some tracks have been dig deep by tall mud tires and occasional find yourself winching out like below in the Sand &

As you can see, all the UTVs are Joyner’s. I import them so no surprises there, but we do have most brands and models available. The most popular models are the Yamaha Rhinos and the Polaris Rangers in that order.
