XTREME OUTLAW Super Moto and Xtreme Jumping Attract Adrenaline Junkies to the Grand Sierra Resort
RENO, NV JUNE 9, 2010 – The Xtreme LivFast Super Moto (XLSM) and Xtreme Livfast Freestyle Motocross (XLFM) will kick off this Father’s Day weekend with some of the most exciting and extreme activities in the parking lot of the Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) in Reno, Nevada.
The Xtreme LivFast Super Moto (XLSM) is a partnership between Xtreme Concepts, GSR and LivFast with Pro motorcycle and ATV racers going wheel to wheel. Supermoto is a 1.3 mile track that is ¾ asphalt and ¼ dirt with some really unique designs with an over under bridge, a 15 foot tabletop, jumps and hair pin corners. “Racers have the potential to reach over 100 miles per hour in the dirt, with the jumps putting the racers up to 10 feet in the air,” stated track builder and promoter Tim O’Brien. Several well known riders will make their appearance including factory Red Bull KTM rider Cameron Beaubier, 125 Supercross champion Mickey Diamond and Jake Thompson are just a few of the riders set to race among the Pros on Saturday.
Xtreme Freestyle Motocross (XLFM) is LivFast’s professional racing exhibition team who will throw themselves and their bikes 70+ feet into the air completing a variety of dangerous stunts across a 75 foot jump. LivFast just landed Adam Jones, the FMX phenomenon, who is a 2 time X-Games gold medal winner and 2010 Red Bull X-Fighters Egypt winner. The whole LivFast crew has more medals and achievements than can be counted between Mike Mason, Dustin Miller, Greg Garrison and Tim O’Brien. Saturday night they will take it to a whole new level with the biggest whip contest.
SuperMoto USA has a school available on Thursday from 10am-4pm where top professionals will teach techniques to be successful on a Supermoto track. The school is open to everyone that wants to learn for $300, which includes the rental of a purpose prepped bike.
Sunday, amateur motorcycles and ATV’s will be able to take on the same Supermoto track for another full day of racing.
Included in the weekend events is The Xtreme Outlaw 250 Desert race (XO250). Grand Marshall Rod Hall will throw the Green Flag just before a table top jump in the Grand Sierra Resort parking lot and the race will start right down the streets of Reno. When the cars and trucks hit the dirt they will throttle up and race through mountains and valleys east of town completing three loops, then back to the finish line jump at the GSR.
