Norman Motorsports Hosts Dezert People 8 Premier and Fundraiser to Benefit Cruz Roja and the Emergency Services of Erendira

RENO, NV AUGUST 13, 2010 – Norman Motorsports in El Cajon, CA will be hosting a fundraiser to benefit Cruz Roja and the Emergency Services of Erendira on August 28, 2010, doors open at 2pm. The premier of Dezert People 8 will be at 3pm and will show continuously throughout the afternoon. Charity gaming, a silent auction and other fun activities will round off the evening.
Become a Facebook friend of Roger Norman or Curtis Guise and RSVP to the event to attend this very special benefit event. Fans, Sponsors, and Friends are welcome, but must RSVP via Facebook.
Admission to the fundraiser is $30 per person, which includes a copy of Dezert People 8. All proceeds benefit Cruz Roja, the Mexican Red Cross. There will be a bar stocked with margaritas donated by Azunia Tequila, beer donated by PBR and sodas. “One of the best things about releasing a new DVD is being able to travel to premiere events, meet the fans, 
and put on a fun show for all of our supporters. And best of all, we all have a great time and most of the proceeds go to some great charities that impact our industry,” stated Curtis Guise, producer of Dezert People 8.
Before and after the movie, there will be Black Jack, Craps, and Roulette benefiting charity. Proceeds will be donated to the Emergency Services of Erendira in collaboration with Tim Norton of Baja Bound Adventures. “We will be purchasing necessary supplies and equipment to help outfit the emergency services in Erendira so they can be better prepared for the races and tours that happen in their area,” explained Tim Norton, owner of Baja Bound Adventures.
Other activities scheduled include a silent auction with all proceeds benefiting Cruz Roja, and Locos Mocos and Baja Pits will run a taco stand.
“I am glad that we have the facility and ability to open the doors to events like these,” said Roger Norman. “It is a great way to get racers and fans together for a great causes, and of course talk racing!” Norman Motorsports shop has been featured on Baja Garages on the Outdoor Channel and in Dirt Sports Magazine. All of the race and chase vehicles will be on display surrounding the charity gaming tables. There are sure to be multiple celebrities and motorsports legends in attendance.
