Irvine, Calif. – Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Justin Soulè finished with a career-best second place on Saturday night at the National Western Complex in Denver, Colo. at the penultimate round of the EnduroCross series. Soulè’s night saw him win the third heat race and finish the main event sandwiched between two champion trials rider’s that included Kawasaki’s Colton Haaker with a season-best third place. Along with podium finishes of Soulè and Haaker, Kawasaki held positions in five of the top-10 spots with Kyle Redmond finishing fourth, Gary Sutherlin in sixth, and Jamie Lanza rounded out the top-10.

Keep Making Progress
With his rookie season of EnduroCross already going better than expected, Soulè topped his previous best finish to end the night in Denver as the runner-up. After winning his heat race, he kept his cool throughout the nine-lap main event and came across the finish just five seconds behind first. Along with his best finish of the season, Soulè posted the fastest lap time of the main event.

“I tried to stay patient during the first few laps,” said Soulè. “Those laps can get really messy. After those two laps, I was in third. Colton made a mistake and I went by him and was catching Geoff (Aaron). I felt like I had the advantage in a few sections, but couldn’t get close enough to set up a pass. Then I went down in the rock turn. It was exciting challenging for the lead.”

Colton’s First Podium
With several good showings up front, Haaker made his podium finish stick at the end and finished third on the night. He ran aggressively up front and settled for third after making a few mistakes trying to catch Soulè.

“I definitely felt like I rode my best race tonight,” said Haaker. “The track was really fun and had a lot of cool jumps and different sections. I made some good passes on the first lap to get up to the front, but just spent some time on the ground. I know that if I can get past the little mistakes, I can be on the podium again in Vegas.”

Final Round Goes To Las Vegas
With only one round left in the series, Soulè and the rest of his competition will be vying for the final win of the season. The last round will bring the riders back to where the series started at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

“I’m hungry for the win now that I was so close to it in Denver,” said Soulè. “I was definitely in contention for the win tonight and I just need to stay on two wheels and I know I could get my first.”
