Speed Technologies Dawson Kirchner Wins SuperLite Class at Las Vegas Lucas Oil Off Road Race
RENO, NV – NOVEMBER 11, 2010: Dawson Kirchner took the first place podium at the Las Vegas Lucas Oil Off Road Race. “The whole race was a big battle,” said Dawson Kirchner after the race. “I had the best traction out of the last corner with the General Tires. It came down to the drag race down the final stretch. I just pinned it and came across the finish line first!”
SuperLite Live TV Chuck Dempsey had communication with the drivers while on the track. During the competition yellow Kirchner checked in saying, “Its super soft out here, and I am straddling the ruts, but the line that I am taking is working and I am going to go green, white and then checker.”
Starting in the front row, and battling Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg and Kyle LeDuc the entire race, the race came down to the last two turns when LeDuc was finally able to make the move to get in front of Kirchner, but LeDuc fumbled doing a bit of a bicycle, and allowed just enough room for Kirchner to regain the momentum that he needed to cross the finish line first.
At the end of the race Chuck Dempsey said across the radio, “You guys did a great job, you and your spotter. What is going through your head right now?” Dawson Kirchner replied with, “I am stoked right now! I come to Vegas and I get my first win!”
Dawson Kirchner took on the same track Sunday with another podium. After a good race between Twitch and Kirchner, Kirchner took a solid second place finish wrapping up an exceptional weekend in Vegas.
