Scott Bloomquist Drives his Roush Yates Ford to Victory at Lonestar Speedway
Scott Bloomquist won the first ever Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series race in Texas on Saturday night at Lonestar Speedway. After starting tenth, Bloomquist drove his Roush Yates powered Ford engine to the front with nine laps to go and never looked back. This is his second win of the year with Roush Yates Engines in the Lucas Oil series.Bloomquist passed series regulars Don O’Neal and Shannon Babb in the closing laps of the race that saw several cautions for flat tires.

“We just bided our time there for a while; we fired real well on the restarts. We got some breaks with the cautions and we knew eventually it would be a tire game,” said the two-time and defending Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Champion.

“It’s great to see Scott in Victory Lane again,” said Doug Yates, CEO of Roush Yates Engines. “I’m proud of everyone at the shop who builds these engines. Having a championship driver like Scott drive our engines allows us to continually enhance our Dirt Late Model engine program.”

Bloomquist will be in action again next Saturday night at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, IN.  To learn more about Bloomquist’s engine program or how you can build your own Roush Yates engine, call 1-877-798-RYPP or visit www.roushyatesparts.com today.
