DFR Debuts New Yoshimura Exhaust System in May

| April 29, 2011

We’ve had a successful, long-running relationship with Yoshimura and they’ve always met our extreme expectations when it comes to providing us with the exhaust system know-how to take our UTVs to the next level. And the combined efforts we put into the new RZR XP Performance line is no exception. The latest result is an amazing new UTV exhaust system that’ll be available this May called the “Dragonfire Racing by Yoshimura RZR XP Dual Exhaust System,” with features that will make any RZR XP stand out from the crowd.

In addition to a stunning twin can side exit style and custom DFR heat shield, the pipes on this system look like a chrome anaconda snaking it’s way through your engine. Absolutely breathtaking. And while incredible good looks don’t hurt the package one iota, the most important element, of course, is power.

Big power. Power that only gains through the rpm range — especially when tied in to the PIM 2 fuel management system. The Yoshimura setup outperforms stock exhaust systems throughout the rpm range, and it’s more than three pounds lighter than the exhaust system that comes with your stock RZR.

The system is constructed from 304 stainless steel, which results in a long-lasting, durable and rust-resistant product. And it meets or surpasses USFS noise and spark-arrestor specifications.

Below is a list of other system specifications:

Header and Tail-pipe Features

  • Polished 18-gauge 304 stainless steel CNC mandrel-bent construction
  • Oversized step-tube design
  • Mandrel-bent merge tube collector
  • Argon-purged MIG welding
  • Step-Chamber pre muffler
  • Spring-secured slip joints
  • Intergraded O2 sensor bung
  • Retains stock header heat shield

Muffler Features

  • Articulating silicone rubber mounting bushings
  • Stainless steel “closed-end” rivets
