WIDE OPEN’S BFGOODRICH TIRES CAR TAKES 6TH PLACE

| December 10, 2011

Last month, voters selected six drivers to compete in the Baja 1000 and race in Wide Open Racing’s BFGoodrich Tires Baja Challenge (BC) Car.  Team BFGoodrich members Andrew Comrie-Picard, Brad Lovell, Bud Brutsman, Kyle Tucker and Roger Lovell and Joel Weinberger earned an impressive sixth-place finish in Class 10.

Each driver’s unique talents proved useful during the grueling marathon of racing 700 plus miles through the Baja desert.  Each year, SCORE does their best to put these machines and their drivers to the test and this year was no different.  Featuring transitions from pavement to dirt, treacherous mountain climbs, dry lake beds, and several miles of “whoops” up to seven feet deep throughout the course, this years Baja 1000 was the toughest yet.

It is a testament to the will of the drivers and the strength of their machines and tires to complete such a demanding race.  The Baja 1000 has been the ultimate test track for tire development at BFGoodrich, and much of what they have learned in the desert goes into the tires on your vehicle.

Wide Open runs exclusively on BFGoodrich Tires and recognizes them as a main contributor to their success over the years.

Wide Open congratulates Team BFGoodrich Tires and thanks them for competing in our Baja Challenge Car!
