World Rally Challenge (WRC)
Ford Creates history with Landmark Result at Rally Argentina ARGENTINA (April 29, 2012) – Ford became the first manufacturer to claim 150 consecutive points finishes in the FIA World Rally Championship in the 39-year history after Petter Solberg and Chris Patterson finished sixth at Rally Argentina. Solberg took the lead on Thursday night’s opening speed test and extended his advantage to more than 20 seconds on Friday morning. However, the 37-year-old Norwegian suffered heartbreak when his car’s sump guard hit some bedrock and bent the left steering arm. When the arm later broke, his car was pitched off the road into a rock and retirement. He restarted with a 15 minute time penalty in 11th place. The Eibach Springs supported team’s determined drive propelled him to sixth, winning nine of the last 10 special stages and claiming all six in today’s final leg. He also won the final Power Stage, claiming three bonus points to retain second in the drivers’ championship.

Dungey Claims Third Supercross Victory of the Season in Salt Lake City SALT LAKE CITY, UT (April 29, 2012) – Red Bull KTM rider Ryan Dungey claimed his third Supercross class victory of the season at the Salt Lake City Supercross. Dungey was third at the end of lap one in the feature event before closing in on second place. Fired with the desire to take the victory, Dungey moved into second place with just four laps to go. Dungey thrilled the crowd as he took the lead with just two laps to go to claim his third victory of the season.
Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
Moyer Marches to First Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Win of the Year at Paducah PADUCAH, KY (May 5, 2012) – Billy Moyer of Batesville, AR grabbed the lead at the start of the 50-lap Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event and never looked back en route to a $10,000 payday at the Paducah International Raceway. Dirt Late Model powerhouses Moyer and Scott Bloomquist ran one-and-two for the first 34 circuits as Bloomquist tried several different lines to get around Moyer’s Eibach Springs equipped Late Model in traffic before a caution slowed the field. Moyer benefitted from a clear racetrack in front of him as he went unchallenged for his 14th Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series career win.
American Late Model Series (ALMS)
Jon Henry Takes ALMS Win at Fremont FREMONT, OH (May 5, 2012) – Jon Henry knew that on a tight bullring like Fremont Speedway, lapped traffic would come into play. The challenge was not enough to stop his Will to Win, as the Eibach Springs sponsored and defending ALMS champion captured the Sunoco American Late Model Series feature win at “The Track That Action Built.” Henry battled Curtis Roberts through heavy lapped traffic before using the high line in turn four to capture the lead on lap 16. Henry survived several late race cautions to score his second career win at the Fremont, Ohio race track.
United States Auto Club (USAC)
“Lightning” McQueen Posts Top Five Run at Madera Speedway BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 7, 2012) – Shannon McQueen piloted the Eibach Springs adorned #7 Midget to an impressive fourth-place finish against a stellar 20-car USAC-Western States field at the recently revamped 1/3-mile Madera Speedway in Madera, CA on Saturday, May 5. Due to the unique lineup procedure for the USAC and BCRA dual-association sanctioned feature, McQueen lined up inside the fifth row, despite being the seventh fastest overall in qualifications. McQueen steadily made her way up through the field, finishing fourth and posting the third fastest time in the 30-lap feature event.
NASCAR Whelen Modified
Brown Scores First Victory of 2012 at Bowman Gray WINSTON SALEM, NC (May 8, 2012) — Tim Brown, better known as “The Rocket” drove his No. 83 Eibach Springs / Hayes Jewelers Modified to Victory Lane for the first time this season at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston Salem, NC on May 5th. Brown captured a second place starting position after posting a time of 13.352 seconds in qualifying. As the green flag waved, Lee Jeffreys pulled ahead of Brown, but Brown hungry for a win put his Rahmoc Power on display and motored past Jeffreys on the outside to take the lead by turn 2 on the first lap. Three cautions came out throughout the 25 lap race, each one leaving the 83 team on their toes, anxious for Brown to keep the lead and take the checkered on lap 25. While lapped cars challenged the front of the field several times when they caught them, Brown was able to maintain the lead and capture the victory. The Rural Hall, NC native sits third in point standings, a mere seven markers behind the point leader.
Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM)
Audi A5 DTM Finishes Debut on Podium HOCKENHEIMRING, GERMANY (April 29, 20120) – The DTM made a fast and furious start into its new era with a turbulent race at the Hockenheimring. The new Audi A5 DTM started from the pole position and finished in third place after 40 laps. Mattias Ekström started from the pole position in his Red Bull Audi A5 DTM at the Hockenheimring and immediately took the lead, which he kept until lap five before making a braking mistake in turn two. From then on the Swede concentrated on safeguarding third place. Mike Rockenfeller in the Schaeffler Audi A5 DTM of Audi Sport Team Phoenix took fifth place. His team-mate Miguel Molina in the Red Bull Audi A5, who had started from position 17 on the grid, was able to move up into the ninth spot.
China Touring Car Championship
Changan Ford Racing Team Captures Top Four; Haima Family Racing Team on Podium at Shanghai SHANGHAI, CHINA (April 29, 2012) — The 2012 China Touring Car Championship (CTCC) returned to action at the Shanghai International Circuit on 28th-29th April. Changan Ford Racing Team, for the first time in CTCC and the team’s history, took the top four positions in the Super production Class. The Haima Family Racing Team fielded four entries for round one of the China Touring Car Championship in Shanghai, China, all of which finished within the top ten. The young driver Martin Xin Zhe Xie lead the Eibach Springs equipped Haima Family Racing team cars to the finish line with a third place effort, with He Zi Xian, Chen Huan, and Lin Li Feng in tow in fourth, fifth, and sixth place.
Dirt Super Late Model
Ray Cook Victorious at Moulton Speedway MOULTON, AL (April 28, 2012) – Ray Cook was back in victory lane on April 28 at the Moulton Speedway after earning the fast time and pole position in the unsanctioned, $3,000 to win 30-lap feature with a 14.08 second lap at the Moulton, Alabama speed plant. The Eibach Springs equipped number 53 Late Model led the field around the rough racing surface and never relinquished the lead to record his fourth victory of the 2012 racing season.
NDRA GM Performance Late Models
Parker Nabs $1500 NDRA GMPLMRICHBURG,SC (April 28, 2012) – Ron Parker stole the show in the NDRA GMPLM portion of the night at the I-77 Speedway in Richburg, South Carolina on April 28. Parker topped the sixteen entries in qualifying, and did not waste any time grabbing sole possession of the lead exiting turn two in the feature. Parker lead flag to flag for his second win in as many races.
