National Speed Sport News, Raceday On Fox Sports Radio Team Up
MOORESVILLE, N.C. – National Speed Sport News, which relaunched in March with an all-new monthly magazine, has partnered with RaceDay on FOX Sports Radio, hosted by industry veteran Rob D’Amico.
Beginning Memorial Day Sunday, the program will be rebranded “SPEED SPORT on FOX Sports Radio,” and air every Sunday morning from 7 to 9 a.m. ET on more than 250 FOX Sports Radio affiliates, XM Satellite Channel 169, and the American Forces Network.
The program will also stream live online at www.iheartradio.com, www.foxsports.com, and via the iHeart Radio mobile app. Archives will be available at http://www.speedsportonfox.com and www.nationalspeedsportnews.com/radio.
Turn 3 Media, LLC, a North Carolina company founded by motorsports media veterans Ralph Sheheen, Curt Moon and Joe Tripp, continues to advance its aggressive strategy to provide comprehensive motorsports news and information to fans across all forms of media. Adding a radio program is another step toward realizing that vision.
“National Speed Sport News is the most trusted name in American motorsports journalism and now race fans can get it more ways than ever before. The addition of ‘SPEED SPORT on FOX Sports Radio’ is the newest platform that joins the highly successful SPEED SPORT Magazine, the best place for breaking news, nationalspeedsportnews.com, the NSSN Daily Email Updates and our popular Facebook and Twitter pages,” said Sheheen. “‘SPEED SPORT on FOX Sports Radio’ allows our staff, which consists of some of the most respected reporters in racing, to bring all the breaking news and results along with some great bench racing to the fans and the racing industry every Sunday.”
RaceDay on FOX Sports Radio, now in its 10th year, has developed a large, passionate audience by being both informative and entertaining as race fans prepare for a typical Sunday of racing. Host Rob D’Amico is a radio veteran whose enthusiasm for motorsports is the backbone of the show. By incorporating SPEED SPORT talent, content and perspective, the show will further position itself as the leading motorsports news/talk program on radio.
“Over the past 10 years, RaceDay on FOX Sports Radio has become one of the most listened to, and most recognized, brands on the air, with a platform that includes hundreds of radio stations, satellite radio, Internet radio and podcasts,” said D’Amico. “Likewise, the National Speed Sport News brand is widely recognized an iconic name in motorsports news and reporting, with a loyal audience of motorsports fans around the world. To combine both these platforms into one partnership is very exciting and represents a huge benefit for our audiences! I am thrilled to announce our partnership, and look forward to combining our talents and resources to bring our fans an even bigger and better show.”
Premiere Radio Networks, a subsidiary of Clear Channel Entertainment, syndicates over 90 radio programs including FOX Sports Radio, supports the move as well.
“RaceDay has been a very successful part on our weekend programming on FSR for the last 10 years and now with NSSN coming on board we are excited to see what they can deliver for the next decade,” said Don Martin, SVP of Sports Programming for Premiere Radio Networks.
In addition to collaborating on content and programming, National Speed Sport News will handle sales and marketing of the show.
“Not only does the addition of radio create new opportunities for our fans, it also creates added value for our advertisers and partners,” said Joe Tripp, co-founder and COO of Turn 3 Media. “Radio will significantly expand our ability to craft effective, integrated campaigns across platforms – from print to Web, radio to email, social media and beyond – to reach both passionate fans and industry professionals alike.”
