Shawn Morris Ready To Dominate At The Big House
With early season gremlins behind him, Shawn Morris hit the famous Crandon International Off Road Raceway late last week for a day of testing. Mother nature had other plans. After only getting in a handful of laps the northern Wisconsin sky opened up and rained out the rest of the test day.
But Morris isn’t too worried, “We got in some great laps and got to try a few new things before the rain started. Traditionally Crandon has been my strongest track so I’m excited to get back there and my first podium of the year.”
Last season Morris earned his highest finish, a third, at the Brush Run weekend in Crandon and looks to repeat, if not better that finish. But with some additional racers joining the Pro Light field this weekend, Morris will have his work cut out for him.
“It will be interesting to see how these new guys do on the track for the first time.” Morris stated. “The track is second to none. The racing is always competitive and fast paced. I love Crandon. It’s a great town and a great community.”
Fans will see a weekend full of big air and lots of contract with Pro and Sportsman round of racing both Saturday and Sunday, and a full afternoon of practice Friday.
