SuperLite Signs FiberwerX As Official Fiberglass Body Supplier Of Short Course Off Road Racing’s Arrive & Drive Program
RENO, NV— Short course off-road racing’s arrive and drive program, SuperLite Championship, partners with FiberwerX, the leading off-road fiberglass manufacturing company, to serve as the official manufacturer of fiberglass body panels for the spec-class truck racing series. The partnership enhances the support SuperLite Championship delivers to its fleet of race rentals as well as racer-owned race trucks through improved distribution and performance pricing.
“We’re enthusiastic about the partnership,” said SuperLite Championship General Manager John Harrah. “The fit and finish are always critical factors when fielding a class of trucks that features extensive television coverage. And FiberwerX is front and center in its quality. But in such a brutal sport that’s not unlike a cage fight on four wheels, carnage is imminent and performance pricing incentives essential.”
The series sponsorship is also advantageous for truck owners and those with season leases who elect to manage the maintenance of the race trucks themselves.
“While SuperLite Championship will remain the key point of contact for all order processing, the strategic distribution network FiberwerX maintains covers the entire footprint of our racers. In addition to the improved pricing to SuperLite team racers, this also translates into improved availability and the elimination of shipping costs under most circumstances.” Harrah said.
Going into Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Rounds (LOORRS) 7 & 8 at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah on June 22-24, the 15-year-old phenom Sheldon Creed of San Diego touts a 21-point lead in series points. Piloting the Trench Shoring/BFGoodrich Tires-backed machine, Creed is running five for six upon the 2012 SuperLite LOORRS podium with three wins, a second and a third.
Drew Britt of Peoria, Arizona stands second in points, having racked up four podium appearances in the six rounds of short course racing for the Person Racing/Mickey Thompson/Majerle’s Sports Grill/Universal Technical Institute machine. Metal Mulisha’s Ryan Hagy stands third in the season points chase behind the wheel of the General Tire/Metal Mulisha/Valli Construction/4 Wheel Parts truck.
