Trail PAC – Media Calls OHV A “Major Player”

It’s not often that mainstream media even acknowledges OHV recreation, let alone gives us a compliment (albeit backhanded). Yet that is what happened this week in a Washington Post article regarding Obama’s wilderness legacy.

Off-roaders are given credit for being one of the major “players” in efforts to push back against National Monuments, Wilderness, and a new defacto Wilderness-lite designation called “Wild Lands.”

Although TPAC is primarily focused on key Congressional races to help elect a pro-access majority to the U.S. Senate, it is watching the presidential debate when it comes to public land access and potential Wilderness and/or National Monument designations.

TPAC also remembers recent history where the outgoing President issued a number of executive orders just hours before they left office that created new National Monuments that severely limited public access for both recreation and resource use.

TPAC urges you to help us elect a pro-trail majority to the U.S. Senate where that body can move on a number of pro-access House bills and challenge or support the next President of the United States when it comes to access related administrative actions.
