Ultra4_LogoOctober 19, 2012 (Temecula, CA) – Ultra4 Racing has announced a partnership agreement with the United States Auto Club – a member of ACCUS/FIA. USAC will sanction the eight race off-road series and create a win-win for both USAC and the drivers and teams of Ultra4.

USAC is broadening its reach by adding Ultra4 Racing under its umbrella of motorsports properties that includes Moto GP, TORC, Sprint Car, Midgets and Pikes Peak Hill Climb. Ultra4 racers will benefit from the partnership with USAC from an insurance and cost standpoint. This is viewed as an unprecedented move in off-road racing for a motorsports promoter to provide comprehensive, broad sweeping insurance for its teams.

Ultra4 Racing teams will be covered by an excess medical policy and progressive general liability coverage. The buying power of USAC makes a formerly cost prohibitive policy for teams affordable. Drivers are incurring increased annual Ultra4 membership fees, but minimal in comparison to the costs associated with policies purchased by individual teams.

“This move by Ultra4 Racing signifies a major step for our sport and sets an example for all motorsports. It instills confidence in sponsors and greater peace of mind for the drivers and teams,” explained reigning King of the Hammers Champion, Erik Miller.

Ultra4 Racing is a highly dynamic form of off-road racing, combining short course, rock racing and high-speed desert racing. The vehicles are unlimited four-wheel drives and capable of speeds exceeding 120 miles per hour, but gear ratios that allow for extreme climbs and descents. The race series is most known for the highly popular King of the Hammers that draws over 30,000 spectators for a week of racing in the Southern California desert.

Ultra4 Racing owner and promoter Dave Cole explained “Given the nature of our sport, this is a monumental investment and critical for our future growth. We are appreciative of a mutually beneficial and progressive partnership with USAC and hope other motorsports will provide a similar safety net for their teams.”
