RADAR TIRES FINISH 10th IN LUCAS OIL OFF-ROAD RACING DEBUT

| March 18, 2013

Singapore, 17 March 2013 – Radar Tires finished 10th in class during the opening round of Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORS) competition at Firebird International Raceway on Saturday afternoon.

Radar Tires, Bronson Motorsports and driver Mike Johnson qualified in the 25th position for ProLite Unlimited LOORS Round 1 event.  Following qualifying, Johnson and the team determined there was a fuel delivery problem and quickly repaired the issue before the race.

During the race, Johnson skillfully passed more vehicles than any other truck on the track as he had to march from the rear of the field three times en route to a 10th place finish.

In the first three laps, Johnson advanced from 25th position to 18th position.  A quick two laps later, Johnson was in 16th position, spun by another competitor and fell to the rear of the field.

Back on track and working his way through the field a second time, Johnson found himself in the 13th position when another competitor suddenly slowed in front of him and Johnson did everything he could to avoid contact with his fellow competitor.  Johnson then brought the Radar Tire-sponsored truck to the hot pits for a quick inspection by the crew and then resumed the race in 18th place.

In the closing laps of the race, Johnson worked his way through the field for the third time, gaining eight positions to ultimately finish in 10th place.

“The Radar Tires/ Bronson Motorsports Toyota really ran well today and we probably passed more cars than anyone on track,” Johnson said.  “Even though we didn’t qualify where we wanted to, had a spin on lap five and a crash on lap 13, we marched through the field three times! Thankfully the Radar Tires gave me the confidence and performance to do so.”

The ProLite Unlimited race truck is being repaired overnight in preparation for LOORS Round 2 at Firebird International Raceway on Sunday, March 17.

“The team made changes to the truck and definitely moved us in the right direction,” Johnson continued.  “I want to continue our momentum by qualifying well on Sunday morning, earning a decent starting position so we don’t have to work our way through the field again.  We know we can do it, but we want to put the Radar Tires machine out front and keep it there!”

Some of the Radar Tires used this weekend will feature the Breast Cancer Research Foundation pink ribbon logo.  For every Radar tire sold, Omni United will donate $5 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) with a minimum annual donation of $200,000 and a maximum donation of $250,000.

The two-day event at Firebird International Raceway in Chandler, Arizona, features Lucas off-road racing Round 1 Saturday and Round 2 on Sunday.  Radar Tires, Bronson Motorsports and Johnson will compete in both races this weekend.

Off-road motorsports was chosen by the newly-formed Radar Racing team to showcase the Renegade R5 M/T tire, which features open blocks for mud dispersion, deep tread blocks, and reinforced shoulders.  This tread pattern and rigorous construction is ideal for the surfaces encountered on short course tracks such as Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California and Firebird Raceway in Chandler, Arizona as well as the open desert of Baja California in the legendary SCORE Baja 1000, the most iconic of all off-road races.
