Swift and Olliges Double Down In Vegas

Las Vegas, NV Partygoers won’t be the only ones seeing double in Las Vegas March 20-24. Fans at The General Tire Mint 400, presented by Polaris will witness the unveiling of the all new BFGoodrich Tires, MasterCraft Safety, FOX Racing Shox, TrailReady Wheels, KC Hilites, Impact, Rancho Transmissions, Dougans Racing Engines, Team Ford #27 Trick Truck of Steve Olliges. The new addition to the Swift / Olliges Racing Team will look nearly identical to the familiar #28 that the team has raced since 2011. The #28 driven by John and Jonathan Swift will have a white hood; the #27 Trick Truck driven by Steve Olliges and John Marking will have a red hood sporting a brand new FiberwerX Ford Raptor body. The recently completed #27 is the second Trick Truck built by Geiser Brothers, after Rob MacCachren’s, using computer design and features perfect weld junctions due to its laser cut tubing.

“This truck is absolutely beautiful,” said Steve Olliges, “John and I are excited about becoming a two truck team. Both trucks will share the same pits and we will be on the same radio frequency during the race. We are very grateful that the same sponsors we have worked with for years are on board both trucks too. We have very little time on the new truck so I’ve asked my longtime friend John Marking to share the driving duties with me. He is a solid driver we can count on while getting the truck dialed in.”
The decision to double down for Swift and Olliges is sure to pay off when they set out against 39 other Trick Trucks to conquer the brutal 400 mile race. Qualifying is set for Thursday and it’s a safe bet that the Swift / Olliges #27 and #28 trick trucks will be flying across the desert on raceday. Do not miss it!
