| April 6, 2013

Prolong Twilight Cruise 1POMONA, Calif. – For fans of drag racing, the history of the sport is as colorful as the cars and the people who served as the high-powered building blocks for today’s National Hot Rodding Association (NHRA).  For the seventh consecutive year, Prolong(r) Super Lubricants will partner with the famous Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California, to continue their sponsorship of the Prolong Twilight Cruises.

These very popular street rod, hot rod and muscle car gatherings, which originally started in 1999, take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month from April to December. The Prolong Twilight Cruises are held in the NHRA Museum parking lot at the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif., and offer spectators a great opportunity to see hot rods, street rods and muscle cars from multiple generations.

Twilight Cruise festivities include music, food vendors, raffle prizes and more. Raffle prizes include entries in the special end-of-the-year Grand Prize Drawing featuring a California Hot Rod Reunion Weekend Getaway Package, an Auto Club NHRA Finals Weekend Package and a Smith-Miller Union 76/Mobil Gasoline Tanker Collector Truck. All proceeds benefit the museum, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization.

Admission to the 2013 Prolong Twilight Cruise is free. Car owners may be awarded one of several “Celebrity Picks” at each Cruise. Vehicles chosen by celebrity judges will be invited to the famous Auto Club Raceway at Pomona during an NHRA National Event to participate in the Museum’s Hot Rod Junction(r).
