4 races and 7 wins later, Kroyer has another successful month.
Every weekend in April had a race on the calendar for Kroyer Racing Engines. Trophy Trucks, SxS, Pro Buggies and more were all in the hunt to bring home wins, and bragging rights.
Off the beaten path in Southern California you will find Ridgecrest, CA. the word “Ridgecrest” to an offroad racers ears only means one thing, rough. The SNORE Ridgecrest 300 consisted of 5-50mile laps of pure rough desert terrain.
Michael Voudouris and his #60 Unlimited Truck took 1st in class and 2nd overall. Finishing just over 2 minutes before the 2nd place Unlimited Truck. With almost a 3 hour lead over the second Class 7, Las Vegas local, Dallas Luttrell won his class and finished 6th overall.
Kevin Kroyer was anxiously waiting at the finish as leaders drove hard and pushed their limits all the way to the end. “The SNORE Ridgecrest 300 was a great race debut for the TSA Motorsports new 7200 truck. No problems all day and a class win in a new truck is the topper.” said the engine builder. “Mike and the Zorba team came out to Ridgecrest as they have a lot of ties to the community. Mike raced a hard race and is improving every time he climbs aboard his Unlimited Truck.”
The second weekend of the LOORRS series brought more than just the heat to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. 2 new Pro2 drivers were entered in for the weekend and both trucks running Kroyer Racing Engines. Kyle Leduc would be behind the wheel of the newly built #98 JCRI/Monster Energy Pro2, and Las Vegas Local, Joey Provenza would be manning the #11 JPMotorsports Pro2. Even though no Pro2 wins were brought home in rounds 3 & 4, Kroyer did get 6 top ten finishes.
Dominating the Pro4 Class is still Carl Renezeder. The top of the podium is where Carl found himself again and still holding the points lead. Starting in the back of the pack on Sunday’s race, Carl patiently waited for others to make mistakes and as he picked away drivers he found himself in second battling with Rob McCachren. Both trucks went into turn 2 door-to-door and as they came out of turn 2 still side by side, it was a drag race to turn 3 where Carl would take the outside line and come out as the new leader and take the lead all the way to the finish.
ProLite driver, RJ Anderson redeemed himself in Sunday’s race and made it to the top of the podium. After finishing 18th in Saturday’s race, RJ fought hard with 27 other ProLites but managed to stay out front and out of the carnage. RJ is standing 3 in points.
1st in points in the ProBuggy class is Bradley Morris. With a 1st and a 3rd in Vegas, this young ProBuggy driver is showing the vets how to win. Saturday’s race, Morris would capitalize on a mistake made by Grienke and would take over the lead and hold the lead till the checkered flag. Sunday’s race was a hard fought battle but Morris didn’t make it all the way to the top.
Kroyer Racing Engines claimed 4 more wins in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series.
Kevin would also like to congratulate Ronnie Anderson, future Kroyer driver for his first podium and 3rd place finish in Junior 2 Kart main in round 3
This season WORCS introduced the new 13 mile track that was surrounded by the beauty of Utah. Pink sand dunes, red rock formations and a lake to top off the view were some of the perks to racing this new course.
The 2013 SxS season started out rough for RJ Anderson but the young champion came back in full force. Crossing the finish in his Holz Racing backed Polaris RZR 900 XP, RJ won his first 2013 SxS Pro Production race by a mere 45 seconds.
“I’ve had a fast car all year and was leading the race in round 3 before a mechanical issue took me out on the last lap. In round 4 I pulled the hole shot and really showed what my car was made of. I ended up winning by over 45 seconds which is hard to do in the Pro Production Class.” – Said RJ Anderson
