A Full House for Alumi Craft Racers at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

It looked like a stacked deck for Alumi Craft racers at rounds 3 and 4 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing series in Las Vegas, Nevada. Alumi Craft took all but one podium spot the entire weekend with the top six finishers in round 3 belonging exclusively to Alumi Craft cars; round 4 would see similar results.

With no competition yellow to bunch up the field this season, it is a sprint race from the drop of the green flag. In Saturday’s round 3, it was the Alumi Craft young guns Bradley Morris, Dave Mason and Geoffrey Cooley who were in their familiar position at the front battling each other. These three racers are all hanging within a few points of each other at the top of the point standings. Any one of them can take the championship lead within a moments notice, the competition amongst them is incredible.

ac_13loorrs_rnd34_02Defending champion Steve Greinke got out to an early lead but was passed by a freight train of Alumi Craft cars dropping him all the way back to seventh at the finish. Alumi Craft swept the podium for the second time this season with Bradley Morris taking the win, Dave Mason in second and the Veteran, John Fitzgerald in third. Fourth through sixth were Lonny Hart, Robb Harvey and Geoffrey Cooley all driving Alumi Crafts. Geoffrey Cooley had the lead at one time but a spin dropped him several positions. With the level of competition these Alumi Craft racers are bringing, the slightest bobble will set you back in a hurry.

ac_13loorrs_rnd34_03In round 4 on Sunday, they missed out on the top spot but the Alumi Craft train was still on the tracks taking second through seventh place. The young guns were at the front again with Dave Mason taking second, Bradley Morris in third and Geoffrey Cooley on his back bumper in fourth. Fifth through seventh place went to Larry Job, Lonny Hart and John Fitzgerald. Robb Harvey was tenth, his second top ten finish on the weekend. The most awe inspiring drive of the race has to go to Bradley Morris who took the lead on lap one only to spin out; dropping him to the back of the field. He put his head down and tore through the field making it all the way back up to a podium finish in third.

ac_13loorrs_rnd34_04“I was trying too hard to win on the first lap,” said Bradley, “When I come up on someone I just use my sprint car racing experience. I know how to use a slide job and I throw it harder into the corner than anyone. It was probably the only time I’ve ever wished for a caution flag but I didn’t get one.” You can never speculate on what might have happened during a race but Bradley definitely had the speed to back up his victory from round 3. He will get another chance at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park, Lake Elsinore, CA. May 17 – 19.

ac_13loorrs_rnd34_05There is a lot going on inside a Pro Buggy. Drivers are constantly feathering the throttle, shifting gears and using the cutting brakes to get around the corners; all without touching the cars around them. It takes a combination of raw speed and aggression tempered by extreme precision. Every Alumi Craft we build is constructed from the finest materials using race proven designs and meticulous craftsmanship to give you the competitive edge in such demanding conditions. That’s why so many drivers are choosing to go with Alumi Craft.
