Rock Junction
May 26th through June 1st the Grand Mesa Jeep club will be hosting their annual Rock Junction Jeeping event!
“We are excited to announce that registration is now open for Rock Junction 2013. Rock Junction is a 3 day event, held May 29-31, 2013, preceding our Off Road Show on June 1st. Each day will feature several 4×4 trips, from scenic to challenging, to a mix of both. Each night features a BBQ where everyone gets together and rehashes the day’s adventures. We’ve expanded our list of trails and available spots, so it promises to be bigger and better than ever.
The registration cost for the entire event is $40 for the vehicle/driver and $20 for each additional passenger. This pays for the BLM permitting, the insurance, and the cost of the BBQs.

St. Rose of Lima Chili and Car Show
The Knights of Columbus are hosting their annual Chili Cook Off and Car Show June 9th!
Last year thousands of people were excited to sample chili, explore the cars and enjoy the day with their family and friends that attended. Live bands and entertainment, a large kids area, chili tasting galore, over 120 cars were on display and over 80 awesome vendor booths make this show a must see for the local car enthusiast.
Held in Simi Valley at the St Rose of Lima church grounds, admission is $6.00 for adults (seniors $5) and $3.00 for children (6-12). Active military free with ID.
Chili tickets are 50 cents each. Overflow parking is across the street at Royal High School.
The Car Show will feature 12 categories for Classic, Custom, Street Rods, Muscle, Sport, Trucks, and Special Interest vehicles. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to all category winners, including Best of Show.
16th Annual Big Bear Forest Fest
Big Bear Forest Fest is an event put on by the IE4W (The Inland Empire 4 Wheelrs).
It consists of a weekend of scheduled trail runs and special events. IE4W members lead trails on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Saturday features a vendor show and a BBQ tri-tip dinner. The funds raised are used to donate to various land use efforts. In a nutshell, our trails are in constant threat of closure. IE4W wants to fight to keep them open.
