Brian Wood Competing at the MetalCloak Stampede

| August 1, 2013

Brian WoodEpic-Addictions announced on Friday they had entered into an agreement to provide major sponsorship for a new Ultra4 car based in the central valley of California. The car which is owned by Brian Wood of Firebaugh who will also be the driver is being built on a TrentFab Top Shelf chassis with an engine by MJMotorsports.  The car will be wrapped featuring the Epic-Addictions logos.

Epic-Addictions is a full service off-road shop and retail location in Fresno California. Jeremy Ealand who is the owner of Epic-Addictions will also be joining Brian as the co-driver when he makes his King Of the Hammers premiere during the 2014 race. Earlier this year Brian earned his KOH qualification during his first ever, sanctioned event at the Metalcloak Nor Cal Stampede by finishing in the top 10. This guarantees the Epic-Addictions car a starting position at Johnson Valley in February.

King Of the Hammers is the most grueling one day race event on the planet and according to Jeremy “Epic-Addictions is proud to be involved and excited to see a talented young driver such as Brian compete.” Entering the event already qualified provides a huge advantage, the team will be focusing on finishing the main event rather than battling for one of the few coveted LCQ slots available.

Additional sponsors for the car include Trent Fabrication of Sparks NV, MJ Motorsports of Escalon CA, Trail-Gear of Fresno CA, RuffStuff Specialties of Loomis CA and Amber Racing Services of Long Beach CA. When asked what this car and KOH means to him Brian replied.

“Since I was a young kid, rock crawling has been something my dad and I have done together.  KOH has been a dream of mine since watching the first event. If it weren’t for meeting Derek Trent owner of Trent Fab at the hammers about 5 years ago, and eventually meeting Dave Schneider who works for Derek. I wouldn’t have gotten the opportunity to drive in the Trent Fab Top Shelf at the Metalcloak Nor Cal Stampede race and qualify for KOH 2014. It was my rookie race and never would have I dreamed of getting opportunities like this. Hard work and dedication to things you love really does pay off!”

Epic-Addictions plans to have a vendor booth setup at KOH again this year as well as the NITTO Tire National Championship Series in Las Vegas. We hope to have a rolling Chassis in time to bring the car out to Vegas and show off some of the builders involved. With the help of all our sponsors, family and friends we are looking forward to a successful year of racing.
