Off-Road Legend Larry Roeseler will lead the 250+ mile, two day journey through Baja at the UTVUnderground Guadalupe Canyon Legends Rally on May 4th-7th. Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame Inductee Larry Roeseler has had one of the most decorated careers in the sport, including thirteen Baja 1000 overall wins and eleven Baja 500 overall wins. In two weeks, Roeseler will lead a group of UTV’s on a unique culinary experience throughout Northern Baja and there’s still time to register.
“You know I love Baja,” said Roeseler. “Cañón De Guadalupe and the hot springs are just an awesome place to camp at and explore. This country has so many beautiful places that we typically go by at 100mph, so to be able to do a tour and just smell the roses is awesome. I’m excited to show you some new stuff on The Legends Rally.”
For this event, we will explore the most epic trails between Horsepower Ranch and mountains west of San Felipe, all while eating and drinking in typical Legends Rally fashion. On day 1, we will ride from Horsepower Ranch to Ojos Negros, then straight north to the treacherous Rumorosa Grade. Once at the bottom of Rumorosa, we will head East around the mountains then straight South to our end destination of Guadalupe Canyon.
In the middle of, what is now called Cañon de Guadalupe; a lush oasis emerged with beautiful waterfalls, healing mineral hot springs, refreshing natural swimming pools and magnificent palm trees. Guadalupe Canyon is a paradise in its most natural form, complete with the historical rupestrian paintings from the Cucapa tribes which were the last known natives of the area.
Michelin Star Chef Drew Deckman will prepare Saturday night dinner and Sunday morning brunch in Guadalupe Canyon. Participants will arrive to Guadalupe Canyon with camping accommodations waiting for them.
The Legends Rally is an exciting new, approachable off-road event series in Baja, Mexico designed to preserve, celebrate and share the culture of off-roading and introduce new people to the culture in a fun, exciting and approachable way. The Legends Rally is a culinary off-road experience that explores the stunning beauty of Baja, while enjoying gourmet food and drink prepared by local chefs and craft spirit experts from the region. Our events are led by various off-road legends including Larry Ragland, Walker Evans, Ivan Stewart and Larry Roeseler and each event will feature a different 150 to 200 mile loop starting at the famed Horsepower Ranch nestled in a quiet rural valley just outside Ensenada, Baja, CA.
