If you want to hit the trails in style, the Off Road Expo is a great place to start the process.

Maybe start with a new Toyota, Yamaha or CanAm, and then deck it out with any of the thousands of parts that lined the halls.    OK, so maybe you don’t want to start with a new vehicle, but one that you have out back that is all rusted out…no problem there either!  And of course, there were a ton of vendors that had some trick items to fully outfit your UTV!

The show continued its reputation for having the largest assortment of Off Road vehicles and accessories in one place at one time.  Your eyes almost started to get overwhelmed with the amount of polished aluminum and spectacular paint jobs that graced the presence of some of these vehicles.  The amount of UTV’s in the show this year was overwhelmingly impressive for a show that has historically been Jeeps and Trucks.  UTV’s are here ~ and to stay!

Celebrity appearances were made by Ricky Johnson, BJ Baldwin, Casey Currie, RJ Anderson, Grant George and many more.  Groups of buddies lined the aisles and girls in short skirts grabbed their attention…OK, so it wasn’t the girls…it was the fine parts that they were there showing…well, you know what I mean.

Some of the big news of the weekend was the Pit Bull Tires UTV King of the Hammers race put up the largest purse in the History of UTV Racing –  $5000 that will be awarded to the winner!  This race will take place on Thursday February 11, 2010.

Following the King of the Hammers announcement, BFGoodrich introduced a spectacular program donating $5 to the BlueRibbon Coalition for each of its new 10 sizes of BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A tires sold between August 2009 and December 2009.

If you were looking for some action, there was a lot going on in every corner of the fairgrounds.  In corner one was the M.O.B. Freestyle Motocross jumping off every two hours.  Sliding into the second turn, Team Extreme BMX threw out the motors and did some of the most extreme tricks that I never thought were possible.  In the far corner, they had a RC car course set up for speed and agility.  And finally rounding around turn four were the Yamaha and CanAm demo areas where you could drive a vehicle and see that they are perfect for you.

All in all, it was another great weekend at the Off Road Expo in Pomona, CA.  The epic center of the Off Road arena showed all its colors yet again!

I know you are all off roaders at heart…so I took a lot of pictures of all the different rigs…UTV’s, Jeeps and Buggies…..
