Off Road Innovations Club Challenge Winner at Reno Stampede!

Reno, NV (September 11, 2010).  Off Road Innovations (ORI, Reno) announces the winner of the Reno Stampede ORI Club Challenge for the best prepared trail rig.  Reno4x4.com, a famous Nevada website, won the challenge!  “Reno4x4.com pulled together a team of contestants that was just hard to beat,” said Del Albright, emcee of the Challenge.  “These folks knew their rig and found stuff the fastest of any team out there,” Del added.

Contestants were randomly drawn last month at the premier showing of the famous King of the Hammers movie, Anarchy.  The five clubs included the Motherlode Rockcrawlers of Jackson, CA; Reno4x4.com of Reno, NV; the Arkansas Crawlers of Arkansas; the Friends of the Rubicon (FOTR) of Rubicon Trail fame; and the Trailbusters 4×4 Club of Solano County.  The action was on for nearly an hour as over 30 items were called out in the Challenge.

The team that found the correct item and raced it up to their judge the fastest won that item.  At the end of 30 items, the final score told the tale of who was best prepared and who knew all the hidey-holes in their vehicle.

Don Gilman, owner of ORI, Reno, and sponsor of the Challenge was very pleased with the contest.  “This was like a treasure hunt for goodies in some very well prepared rigs,” Don said, “and the whole crowd laughed and cheered the contestants as the race to retrieve each item was on!”

Reno4x4.com won a free weekend of camping and four-wheeling at the famous Exit 28 Motorsports, with serious obstacles, wild horses, and tremendous sightseeing on 100,000 acres as donated by ORI, Reno.

Hosted at the Grand Sierra Resort, Reno, Nevada, the Challenge was just part of the overall fun to be had at this event.  Part of the near week-long Ultra4 Stampede race, the Club Challenge was held Friday night right after the Rock Zombie Bikini Car Wash.  The Ultra4 race was held at Exit 28 Motorsports where the new ORI, Reno shop is now located.  All activities were part of the King of the Hammers, Hammerking Productions, with Pirate4x4 TV there as well.  It is an event not to be missed next year.
