JT Taylor Named General Manager of Torchmate Racing

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO OCTOBER 6, 2010 JT Taylor has been appointed the very respectable position of General Manager for the Torchmate Racing Team. JT Taylor will also be driver of record for many events and race both the new Ultra4 car and the 7200 Truck.

Bill Kuntz, owner of Torchmate announced, “I couldn’t be more excited about the promotion of JT Taylor to the position of General Manager of Torchmate Racing. JT has been a member of our team for a few years now. His organizational and leadership skills are second to none. We have big things planned for both JT and the entire Torchmate Racing Team through 2011 and beyond. The Torchmate name is one that you can count on to go above and beyond no matter what the situation or circumstance. If I know nothing else of JT, I know that he will represent us well in managing the ongoing relationships with our customers, partners and team members.”

JT Taylor starts his list of duties as Driver of Record for the 7200 Truck in the 2010 SCORE Baja 1000. JT Taylor will manage a focused team and share driving duties with Torchmate’s Gregg Jones and Mark Levrett, and Marty Fiolka the Editor of Dirt Sports Magazine. JT Taylor will be the driver of record for several races through out the 2011 race season.

Torchmate will be building a brand new Ultra4 car for JT Taylor and trophy truck driver Roger Norman to race in the 2011 King of the Hammers. JT Taylor, one of the original 13 KOH racers, is already qualified and looks forward to having a brand new car to drive. “Roger and I make a great team at King of the Hammers and this year we will be even more competitive with the amazing car that is about ready to be built,” said JT Taylor. About JT Taylor : JT Taylor has accomplished multiple racing career successes across multiple disciplines of racing including maintaining a top ten position in XORRA for five years running and is the two year reigning champion of the XORRA Germany Series. He is the Colorado Hill Climb Association Ultra4 Champion, made history as the first Ultra4 to run Pikes Peak and won the Exhibition class, and is one of the Original 13 competitors of King of the Hammers who has raced every year including 2010 and 2011 with Roger Norman on his team.
