Cain Dominates for Weekend Sweep at Ogilvie and Princeton PRINCETON, MN (June 9, 2012) — Dave Cain beat the extreme temperatures and some of WISSOTA’s top Modified talents to sweep the weekend’s events at the Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, Minnesota on June 9th and the Princeton Speedway in Princeton, Minnesota. On Friday night, Cain blasted out to the lead on the first circuit of the WISSOTA Modified feature at the “Big O” and would prove to be the only leader in the contest. Cain would dominate every lap of the main event, taking Eibach Springs equipped Shaw Modified to victory lane. While it didn’t take long for the Corcoran, Minnesota native to return to victory lane, his triumph at the Princeton Speedway was earned from further back in the starting grid. The green flag dropped, and Cain quickly took fifth before powering by Shane Sabraski for the fourth position. After moving into the runner-up position, a caution slowed the action before completing a lap, forcing Cain to restart fourth. When the racing action resumed, Cain quickly moved into second before overtaking Dave Mass for the lead. Cain dominated the remainder of the event en route to his second consecutive victory by a margin of 2.95 seconds.

Thorn Wraps Up Ten Week Stretch with Dominating SRL Win at Stockton STOCKTON, CA (June 13, 2012) — Derek Thorn concluded ten consecutive weeks of racing by winning the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour race at Stockton 99 Speedway in Stockton, California, controlling all 125 laps in the event. Thorn and his Bryon Campbell Motorsports team have won two consecutive SRL events in the no. 43 Eibach Springs equipped Ford prepared by crew chief Mike Keen. With the victory, Thorn also took over the points lead in the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour from series veteran M.K. Kanke. In the four starts in the 2012 SRL, the Lakeport native has two fast-times and two wins in a potent start to the season. Thorn’s performances have also propelled him to the top of the Sunoco Driven Challenge national points. Over the ten race stretch of competition between SRL and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, Thorn has scored eight top-ten and six top-five finishes.

Gallardo Dominates USRA / IMCA Big Battle at Aztec Speedway AZTEC, NM (June 9, 2012) — In 2011, Fito Gallardo took the victory in the USRA / IMCA Big Battle at Aztec Speedway in Aztec, New Mexico. In 2012, history repeated itself with a Gallardo in victory lane, but this time it was the young Jacob Gallardo and his Eibach Springs equipped USRA Modified earning the weekend sweep. On night one of the doubleheader, both Fito and Jacob were forced to start at the back of the 25-lap feature after arriving late. After only 19-circuits, Jacob powered to the front and never relinquished the lead. Fito doubled as a proud father and strong competitor with a thrilling fourth place finish. On the second night of the Big Battle of Aztec, Jacob took the lead from the outside pole in turn one of the Modified “A” Main. His Eibach Springs adorned number J17 was unchallenged until a caution slowed the field late in the 30-lap race, giving Josh Cain a chance at the lead. Cain failed to get the momentum needed to pass, and Gallardo rolled to his second win in as many nights at the Aztec Speedway. The G17 followed with another fourth place effort in his USRA Modified.

Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship
Dungey Earns First Motocross Win of the Season; Roczen on Podium for Third Consecutive Week LAKEWOOD, CO (June 2, 2012) —Ryan Dungey earned his first overall win for KTM in the US 450 Motocross class to add another milestone statistic to the Austrian manufacturer’s record books. Dungey assumed the lead in the overall 450 class standings after winning both Motos in Round 3 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at the Thunder Valley MX Park in Lakewood, Colorado. In the opening moto, Dungey jumped off the line to a sixth place start and was able to work his way into the top three by the second lap. Dungey’s Eibach Springs equipped KTM caught James Stewart, and both made a pass to take over the top two spots. A few corners later, Dungey powered to the lead and he went on to win by 22 seconds. In the second moto, the KTM rider nailed the hole-shot to lead every lap right to the flag. Dungey’s teammate Ken Roczen also delivered strong results in the 250 class with the German teenager picking up his third podium in three weeks after finishing second and fourth in his respective motos.

Sauter Leads Crafton to First Victory of 2012 at Texas Motor Speedway FT. WORTH, TX (June 8, 2012) — Johnny Sauter earned the fifth victory of his career at Texas Motor driving the Eibach Springs adorned No. 13 Hot Honeys Peanuts/Curb Records Toyota Tundra. Taking advantage of a late restart, Sauter was able to power through the field and position himself in second place behind teammate Matt Crafton. On Lap 146 of 167, Sauter passed Crafton for the lead and the win. Sauter led two times during the race for a total of 41 laps. He finished 2.101 seconds ahead of 2nd place finisher and teammate Crafton.

ARCA Racing Series
Chad Hackenbracht Produces Career Best Finish at Pocono POCONO,PA (June 10, 2012) — Let the good finishes continue to roll in. Even under threatening skies, Chad Hackenbracht in his Eibach Springs sponsored No. 58 Chevrolet delivered an outstanding second-place effort at Pocono Raceway in the Pocono ARCA 200. After qualifying third, which rewarded the Mooresville, North Carolina-based team five crucial points towards the championship chase, Hackenbracht was mounting similar times to the race leader within the first ten laps. Through the halfway point, the New Philadelphia, Ohio native would continue to hoist the runner-up position as coaching from spotter Tim Fedewa would inspire him to do whatever he could to decrease the gap between himself and the lead machine. The final caution of the event occurred on lap 59 which offered the prime opportunity to bring Hackenbracht down pit lane for their final stop of the 80-lap event. As the final run set into play, Hackenbracht’s racecar would post quicker lap times than the leader before the 20-year old would have to settle back into his race-pace which had him seeing Poole through his windshield but unable to latch onto his rear bumper. For several of the closing laps, Alex Bowman put pressure on Hackenbracht trying to overtake him for the coveted number two spot — but the combination of driver and spotter would have none of it as the two would play defensive and keep Bowman at bay and eventually cruise away to finish second for his third top five and fifth top ten effort in seven starts in 2012.

Brown Gains in Points Standings with Runner-Up Finish RURAL HALL, NC (June 9, 2012) —Tim Brown sits just thirteen points out of the points championship lead in third place after scoring a second place finish in the first 25-lap event, followed by a 13th place finish in the second 25-lap event on June 9th at the Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. As the field came around to the green flag for the first feature, Brown wasted no time trying to get his Eibach Springs adorned no. 83 to the front. He clinched second position before the first circuit was complete. Throughout the 25 laps, Brown challenged for the lead in the caution free event before settling for the runner-up spot on the podium. A 12 was drawn in the “Madhouse Scramble” which would line Brown up 11th for the second race. As the field took the green, several cars moved up on the outside line causing Brown to fall to 13th. He radioed to his crew that his car was “wicked fast” but unfortunately a couple of cars ahead held the rear of the field up in the closing laps of the race resulting in a 13th place finish.

Fall-Line Motorsports 2nd and 3rd in Points after Ohio LEXINGTON, OH (June 9, 2012) — Despite a difficult race, the Fall-Line Motorsports number 45 team is tied for second in points just one point shy of the championship leader after the fifth round of the 2012 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Mark Boden and Bryan Sellers topped the three Fall-Line Motorsports entries with a sixth place finish in the Eibach Springs adorned 46 BMW. The 45 BMW driven by Al Carter and Hugh Plumb finished seventh after a collision with a lapped car while running in the top-five hindered the teams progress towards the front of the field. The 48 BMW driven by Charles Putman and Charles Espenlaub fell from the top of the championship points standings after a motor issue forced the team to the garage area prior to the finish. Despite the unfavorable results for the 45 and 48 Fall-Line Motorsports teams, their drivers managed to save a top three championship ranking after Mid-Ohio. Once again Fall-Line Motorsports was the highest ranked BMW racing team and the team from Buffalo Grove contributed to score a nice handful of points to keep BMW as the leader of the 2012 manufacturer championship.
