Famous Team Albright Landuse Jeep War Machine Gets Refresh And Rebuild

| December 11, 2012

AlbrightRedLanduseWarMachineMokelumne Hill, CA, (Dec. 6, 2012). The Landuse War Machine Jeep “Red” is going in for a motor swap and refresh with the help of sponsors and partners to keep it in the BlueRibbon Coalition trail-saving game. Team Albright’s 1997 Jeep Wrangler has over 150,000 miles and 15 years of landuse and access service. The motor is tired and a new (rebuilt) one is in order. “Red 2.0” is on the way.

Fellow four-wheeler and shop owner, Marty Galantuomini of Martin’s Auto Service in Reno, NV, is shepherding the project and doing the work. The motor is a factory rebuild Mopar motor, long block, that should slip right in “Red.” Marty will make sure Red comes out with a whole new outlook on life, and trails.

While the motor is out, we will be replacing old parts including the water pump, radiator and clutch. The Advance Adapters Atlas 5:1 will be getting a necessary rebuild as well, and PRP Seats will be refreshing our Daily Driver model seats. Dynomax Performance Exhaust is putting on a complete exhaust system to ensure a good sound as well as performance on the road and trail.

Del Albright said, “Without the help of businesses/partners like these, Team Albright would be parked in a garage; but fortunately ‘Red’ will be back on the road soon, in ‘version 2.0,’ and we’ll be stronger than ever in our work for BlueRibbon Coalition (http://www.sharetrails.org) fighting for access to our backcountry for responsible recreation.”

Team Albright also supports and volunteers with many other recreation groups like the California Assoc. of 4Wheel Drive Clubs (CA4WDC), United Four Wheel Drive Associations (UFWDA), Friends of the Rubicon (FOTR), the Access Army (AA), Wheelers for the Wounded (WFTW), Wheelers for Warriors (W4W), Outdoor Writers Association of California (OWAC), Tread Lightly!, North American Motorized Recreation Council (NAMRC), Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), Military Jeepers (MJ), and dozens of clubs and other groups.

This project is possible because of the help of our sponsor/partners: BFGoodrich Tires, Poison Spyder Customs, Spidertrax, JKS Manufacturing, Dynomax Performance Exhaust and MetalCloak.
