DragonFire Takes Three Titles
TRIPLE CROWN!
DRAGONFIRE RINGS IN THE NEW YEAR WITH A TRIO OF TITLES
Chandler, AZ January 6, 2015 — Time to pop the corks, celebrate a great season and ring in the New Year from the top of the podium! Team DragonFire racers won a Triple Crown of titles in 2014 and were a threat in several other UTV racing series this past year. After taking the GNCC XC2, UTV Rally Raid QR1 and Unlimited UTV LOORS Championships, Team DragonFire is returning to defend their titles… and looking to take a couple more as well!
“We had a great season last year,” says DragonFire Product Line Manager Brice Ginn. “But you ain’t seen nothing yet… Time to Feel The Heat in 2015!” In fact, the new season starts this weekend as Team DragonFire returns to the Best In The Desert series at the Parker 250 with fire in their eyes! Before getting fired up about the New Year, here is a toast to DragonFire’s 2014 champions:
GNCC XC1 & XC2 — Marcus & Mouse Pratt/Jack’s Excavating
DragonFire’s favorite brothers from the East, Marcus and Mouse Pratt have been banging doors and duking it out in the GNCC series for quite some time now. This dynamic duo knows how to put the pedal down and absolutely fly through the woods. Marcus took his Jack’s Excavating/DragonFire Maverick 1000 to 1st place in the fiercely competitive XC2 class. Meanwhile Mouse was making a showing for himself in the XC1 Modified class, having a very solid year resulting in 7th place overall for the GNCC season. Mouse and Marcus also teamed up to take the Open Class win at the prestigious Heartland Challenge.
UTV Rally Raid — QR1 Jimmy Keys
New to the race team is long-time DragonFire friend Jimmy Keys of Keyscrete Racing. Jimmy holds it down in the South East with the help of his co-driver Russell Griffin. Jimmy competes in the endurance GP-style racing known as “UTV Rally Raid.” Although Jimmy considers himself a rookie in the sport, his love for off-road comes with considerable talent as he put his RacePace-equipped Polaris XP 1000 at the top of the points chase for 2014. We are very excited to see what will happen in 2015… with more seat time and practice, Jimmy is looking good to defend his title.
Lucas Oil Off-Road Regionals Unlimited UTV & SR1 — Ken Benson
Ken Benson is a long-time DragonFire athlete competing in the Lucas Oil Off-Road Regional Series. Ken took to short course racing like a duck to water and has put his personal stamp on the Arizona-based regional rounds. Confirming the fact that he is a serious player, Ken took home the title in the Unlimited UTV class and finished 3rd in the SR1 Championship. With each turn, Ken seems to get faster and he says he is looking forward to battling up front once again in 2015.
