unnamed (25)BREA, Calif. (June 22, 2015) – Following its unveiling of a radically improved 2016 Suzuki RM-Z250 motocross bike, Suzuki announces an overhaul of its amateur race support program. The new more powerful support structure is designed to help build future champions and reward Suzuki racers for their efforts along the way. With an all-new RaceSuzuki.com website, Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (SMAI) makes it even easier for racers across the country to tap into the millions of dollars of contingency support available.

Powered by Hookit, an innovative digital platform of tools and services, designed to support athletes, brands and sports, RaceSuzuki.com brings a host of unique benefits to Suzuki amateur racers. The new fully mobile website provides an invaluable hub for amateur racers to manage, promote and monetize their ongoing efforts. The site offers robust athlete profiles, with automated race results and earnings updates. Racers can easily track upcoming racing opportunities, and share accomplishments and photos with the Team Suzuki community, conveniently through their PC or mobile device. The site also allows Suzuki racers to maximize SMAI’s champion-approved Contingency Program, offering nearly $4 million in support delivered through numerous U.S. motocross races, series and events – including Arenacross. Finally, the site brings Suzuki amateur racers and Suzuki’s network of regional dealers together more efficiently, where racers can redeem Contingency Program rewards.

“We are excited to be working with Suzuki to power their contingency program and support racers across the country.” said Scott Tilton, CEO of Hookit.  “Streamlining the process benefits the Suzuki racers, promoters and dealers and we are honored to be the platform helps bring it all together.”

In another boost to Suzuki Amateur Racing support, SMAI will park its Trackside Support Truck at some of the top motocross racing events of the 2015 season. Suzuki’s Support Truck carries a supply of parts available for riders in need at a discounted price, along with a qualified Suzuki technician to help answer rider’s questions. Trackside Support is currently scheduled to attend the major events listed below, and others will be added throughout the season.

  • AMA Amateur National Championship, Hurricane Mills, Tenn., July 26 – August 1, 2015
  • Soaring Eagle MX, Soaring Eagle Casino, Mt. Pleasant, Mich., August 30, 2015
  • New Jersey Race of Champions, Old Bridge Township, N.J., October 4, 2015
  • Victory Sports Suzuki Top Gun Showdown, Blountville, Tenn., October 11, 2105
  • Thor Winter Olympics, Gainesville, Fla., November 23-28, 2015
  • Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross, Daytona Beach, Fla., March 2016

Over the last three years, a number of Suzuki amateur racers have earned trips to the revered Suzuki Camp Carmichael training event. This opportunity – for Suzuki racers only – provides amateur racers the chance to train with 15-time MX/SX Champion Ricky Carmichael at The Carmichael Farm, RC’s private training facility in Cairo, Ga.

By registering for the 2015 MX Contingency Program and racing a Suzuki RM or RM-Z, Suzuki racers earn points throughout the year for the opportunity to attend the two-day camp. During the event, Ricky helps riders improve their riding and racing skills, and covers topics such as fitness, training, and bike set up.

The benefits of owning a Suzuki RM-Z450, RM-Z250, or RM85 are clear, and they stretch beyond just the champion-approved capabilities of the motorcycles themselves. Visit a Suzuki dealer, and check out the all-new RaceSuzuki.com for more information.
